From branch to bottle, we do everything by hand at our farm: from picking apples and pressing juice, to bottling and drinking it with you at our on-site tasting bar. And we are pretty lucky to have a bunch of family and friends help out with every aspect of the process. Come by and share some cider with us.
Starting from scratch
Located in the heart of Prairie Valley, and sandwiched between vineyards and heritage orchards, Dominion Cider was founded by three friends, Mike, Luke and Robin.
We named our cidery after the Dominion Experimental Farms – many familiar with Summerland now know it as the Summerland Research Station. All of our cider is produced in small batches on our family farm using a careful selection of local apples, and employing various methods of spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts and single heritage apple varietals. One of our overall goals is to honour our namesake and the methods of those who’ve come before us, whilst experimenting with some novel ingredients.
